Our very own Chris Corre gave a talk at the Synthetic Biology UK 2018 conference, which was held in Bristol on the 19th-20th of November. He shared the group latest work about combining TAR cloning and CRISPR/Cas9 editing for the discovery of natural products from silent bacterial gene clusters, which has recently been published in Chemical Science. Click here if you want to read more about it.
Also attending were our collaborator Emzo De Los Santos, who talked about clusterTools as part of a workflow to identify novel BGCs; and Patrick Capel, who presented a poster about the work he is doing for his PhD.
We are also very excited that our Warwick Integrative Synthetic Biology (WISB) Centre will host SBUK2019! Registration is already open. You can find more information about SBUK2019 here.
We are looking forward to seeing you next year at Warwick University!
